At first it was my goal to work within concept art, since its very much a craft, but I never truly gained the speed and callousness needed to make it within that world. I always lost myself in the details and potential stories of what I was working with. After some years my focus went to book covers. Here I had more time to weave layers of story into each painting, adding small hints and details, teasing hints of what may lay hidden beneath the cover.
However, as generative AI started gaining traction, it became clear to me that illustration wasn’t a path forward. I’m still proud of what I learned and it has made a huge difference for me in my awareness of and attention to detail. Besides, not everyone can say that they’ve painted the cover for Brandon Sanderson’s “The Way of Kings”, but I got to do that. Twice actually, albeit for the Danish translation, but it still counts, right?

"My Name is Coramn"
Genre: Fantasy
Length: 400'ish pages (120k words)
Status: Final draft
Language: English and Danish
In a distant world, verging on the brink of catastrophe, an ageing warrior has left his home and country behind, in a desperate attempt of turning an old memory, a promise to a boy and a small trinket into a trail which may ultimately turn the tide of fate.
The Magehunter’s Journal is a tale of introspection, responsibility and companionship, along the monumental challenge of making people acknowledge a reality they desperately try to escape.
”...This is the future we are facing. And that is the reason, why I have been granted leave from my duties, to find this boy I met by a chance encounter on the road, almost sixy ears ago. Odds are, he won’t know how important he is. Or maybe he won’t be, and I will have wasted precious time, effort and resources. Heck, he might not even be alive.
Still, my friends, superiors and I all agree that it is worth the shot, since we’re all frantically, fumbling about, searching for a way to stabilise The Veil and save our realm of existence.”

Third and last book in the "Skovhuggerens Saga" (The Woodcutter's Saga).
*Note: After my mother's death in 2019 it became impossible for me to finish the book in the proper way (despite the manuscript being 80% done). The Epilogue is written and my mother got to tyope the last punctuation. I've struggled to get to the right mindset to finish the trilogy, and when I finally got the mind for it, time wasn't available.
It's priority for me to finish the book. Hopefully it can happen in 2026 despite a busy calender.
